In this series of weekly tips, we are sharing key pointers from the Compact’s Spring Webinar Series, which worked through the sections of a SERFF filing. We are breaking these pointers down into quick summertime reads to reinforce best practices.

Statement of Intent (SOI) Tab:

• The information under this tab should be fully completed if you are submitting a filing submission using mix and match.
• When the SOI is completed, make sure that the required certification signed and dated by a company officer is attached to this tab.  The certification template is found on the Insurer Resources page, under Mix and Match.
• Never put an ICCxx form number on the SOI.  Rather, the Associated Filings feature should be completed identifying the Compact forms and applicable SERFF Tracking Numbers that will be used with the submitted filing.
