October 11^th marks one month until SERFF modernization is live for the Compact filings! We are so excited to announce some of the key highlights to the new platform. The new platform offers lots of streamlining when creating and working in filings.

Starting with the registration process, there are fewer steps to complete in order to submit your registration submission. You will notice you will no longer need to provide the list of states the company is currently registered in. Moving forward, the licensing data will be pulled into SERFF from NAIC systems.

Another enhancement for SERFF will be the fees are calculated for each company. This will be available for registration submissions as well as product filing submissions. We will issue another Tip on this newest enhancement next week.

The process for making Post Submission Updates and amendments in open filings is being simplified. All changes to submitted filings have been merged into a streamlined process called Amendments.

Make sure to share these updates with your Team. All of these updates are exciting and will require some training to be prepared to make your Compact filing submission.
