The holiday season is a special time of year, with so many of us spending time with our loved ones in celebration. Whether you are lighting the candles in observance of Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, gathering around the Christmas tree, or celebrating the season in some other way, we send our warmest wishes to you and yours this holiday season.

Please note the Insurance Compact Office will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, and Wednesday, January 1 and operating at a limited capacity from December 26 to December 31. As such, any filings under active expedited review will have review and filer response due dates suspended until Thursday, January 2nd. It is not necessary to re-submit any requests or responses submitted during this period.

As we wrap up the end of the year, here are a few tips to help prepare for a smooth transition into the new year.

1. To avoid disruption in the SERFF filing platform, we encourage you to submit your 2025 Annual Registration Filing before the end of 2024. Directions on how to complete the Annual Registration can be found on the Industry Resources page, Annual Registration Fee Filing Instructions.
2. As you prepare your filings, remember that form numbers must reflect the year in which they were submitted for review, regardless of when forms are approved. Therefore, forms that are being submitted for review in December should continue to use an ICC24 prefix; this does not change if review carries over into 2025. Filings that are submitted in January should use an ICC25 prefix.
