Delaware is now effective for Compact filing use, and filers should be aware of the required Delaware fees to ensure a timely acknowledgement of the newly added jurisdiction. As a reminder, Delaware may not be added to long-term care filings. In its legislation, Delaware opted out of long-term care insurance.

What is the Delaware fee for a form filing? Delaware requires $150 per form, per company. The fee must be paid for all forms approved in a filing. There is no exception to this requirement.
What is the Delaware fee for a Supporting Documentation Update filing? Delaware does not require a fee for Supporting Documentation Update filings, unless it is a Disability Income filing in which revised rates are submitted; in such a case, the required fee is $100 per affected form for revised rate submissions.
What is the Compact fee for adding Delaware? No Insurance Compact filing fees are charged to add Delaware to an approved or pending filing.
​When fees are not paid correctly, the acknowledgement process is delayed and the Insurance Compact Office must open the filing to ensure that these requirements are satisfied. If you see the filing is reopened and the state status is “Reopened-Other Fees Due,” it is because the fees were not properly remitted and an objection has been issued.
